I bought these to replace my old audio cable. I run it from a Panasonic stereo to my computer to record music from cassette tapes. I connected the new cable and started recording songs I had previously recorded with the old cable. I haven't changed anything other than the cable. I then compared the recording with my old cable to the recording with my new cable. The new cable sounds worse. This is the cable I'm looking for right now. My old cable is about 20 years old and produces a much cleaner sound with less background noise. This cable was not an upgrade from my old cable. I would not buy this brand again. I used Logitech THX speakers with an 8" 100W RMS subwoofer for the speakers and compared the sound quality of my old cable to this cable. It was pretty obvious that this new cable was generating more unwanted noise, static electricity, cracks, and pops than my old cable.
