Not suitable for Expedition 2011 without modifications

Okay first a long recap and guide on how I did it. First, they will not fit the 2011 Expedition EL King Ranch without some modifications. If you look at the photos you can see that the fog lamp reservoir is only equipped with a cutout on the driver's side for the adjusting screw. These pears are meant to fit either side. But the controller is only on the left. This is just an overview for the expedition. I don't know how the buckets are installed on the F150. Today I received the lamps and immediately started with the installation. I removed the entire headlight from the bumper for ease of replacement. That's when I saw that the lamp wouldn't fit in the plastic bucket because of the extra adjustment bracket on the new lamp body. I was going to send them back but they look good and I've decided to change either the lamp body or the plastic bucket. Modifying the case would mean cutting/sanding the extra bracket and thus losing the ability to return them if they malfunction or fail during the warranty period. So it remains to finish the plastic bucket that will hold the lamp. I cut the plastic just enough to fit and adjust the lamp as you can see in the photos. After assembling the lamp and bucket using a regular spring and screw, I encountered a second problem. The hole in the bumper for the entire assembly was only designed so that the adjustment screw was on the left (driver's) side. I disassembled the bucket and lamp and then used the bucket as a template for the area in the bumper to be removed. After removing the 1" x 1" piece with a small pair of wire cutters the assembly fitted perfectly. After figuring out what to do with the first fog light, the second was very quick. In my opinion they look great and are much brighter than standard bulbs. Some of you may be wondering why I didn't just replace the halogen bulb with an LED. Here in Virginia, you can't pass state inspection with replacement LED bulbs, even if they're only for side marker lights, but as long as the entire assembly is DOT approved, you're good to go. If you don't mind small tweaks, they fit the 2011 Expedition. I'll update this review if the lights don't live up to expectations.
