My 10 month old loves this toy! He has a variety of colors, lights and sounds to keep him busy. He teaches shapes, colors and moods through fun songs sung to popular tunes like I'm a Little Teapot. There are 3 learning modes that you can switch between so you don't get bored of hearing the same thing over and over again. And I LOVE that this toy stops playing the tune once it starts instead of restarting every time the button is pressed. If you press another key while the melody is ending, there will still be additional sounds, but a new melody will not start until the first has been played. (No more than 3 seconds of the same song over and over again!) The rotation feature works great on carpet! We have another spinning toy that never really spins because the floor isn't raised high enough so I really appreciate that this toy works on carpet. Turning it upside down and playing with the spinning part is his favorite thing right now, not that it's intentional but he LOVES it! My son isn't old enough to know what shapes, colors or moods are, but I like it. This toy will grow with him and help him learn these things by playing with it.
