After reading and researching many different reviews I decided to spend money to buy this mount. It was a lot more expensive than the other two mounts I've tried before for a dual monitor setup. Previous mounts were rated 4.5 stars and ranged in price from $50 to $90. At nearly triple (or more) the price of previous bindings, the quality didn't disappoint. The strength of this mount seems solid and the only movement when I grab the bar and shake it is the movement of the table it's on. It was incredibly easy to put together and the instructions were very simple. For the price, I wish Ergotron would add some VESA quick release mounts to the monitor. The freedom of movement isn't as good as I had hoped (vertically once the arm is attached to the stand), but any desired monitor position can be achieved through a combination of arm reach AND monitor height adjustment. bracket where it attaches to the rack. One of the reasons I chose the Ergotron high stand mount was that if I ever wanted to upgrade to a 3 or 4 monitor setup I could do it on this one high stand. Or if I wanted to have 1 monitor on top of the other, that could easily be achieved as well. I would definitely spend the extra money and buy this mount again. The strength is unmatched compared to other fasteners.
