Review on BBUP Handles Wrangler Unlimited 1987 2020 by Doug Layman

Revainrating 1 out of 5

I fell out of my Jeep the first time I used this! I'm still holding on to the handle!

The product was more expensive than others I considered. I love the look and style of paracord. It attaches to the bars the same way as my handlebars that came with my last jeep. My new JL didn't have them so I bought them. I bought them because my wife and son need them to get on the jeep. I am very tall and have never used them. I was afraid of getting stuck in the road and went out to check. In fact, for the first time I had to use the handle to get back into the jeep. As I did so, I fell about 5 feet out of the jeep still holding the handle! Luckily I ended up in the mud and not on rocks. I weigh 220 pounds and these are rated at 220+. The nylon strap falls apart after a month. I doubt I can return them now. I'll just put a ring or rivet instead of a buckle. That way they don't just fall off. Paracord grips seem great, but when the nylon straps that attach them to the car don't hold up. They don't make an effective pen.
