The detail is visibly glued.
I love it, the pattern looks exactly like the picture! The only thing I don't like about her is that she actually sticks together! In the center you can see blobs of clear glue from a hot glue gun holding the ends together. I was able to take some jute twine and create a spiral pattern to cover the area where the glue showed through. So I'll keep it, but keep in mind that you'll find hardened globs of glue in the middle on both sides.
