I bought this razor when I was looking for an alternative to my Merkur Futur razor. Don't get me wrong, I love the Merkur Futur, I've had it for 6 years now and it still works, but I was looking for something lighter than the R89 Twist at around 1oz (120g vs 90g) and I was too. Looking for a thinner head so I could more easily maneuver the razor around the bottom of my nose mustache, which this razor does very well. I like the adjustability of the Futur razor but I have come to the conclusion that an adjustable razor is not necessary unless you have specific skin conditions etc that require adjustment of the razor to avoid irritating your skin. This razor isn't adjustable but seems designed for a close, non-aggressive shave, which I like, and the handle is a good diameter and knurled for a secure grip. The razor is very well balanced in the hand. The quality of the razor seems excellent, the turning mechanism is precise, the handle or head does not rattle, the fixation of the head on the handle and the alignment of the blade is perfect. In short, it gives the impression of a high quality precision instrument, I will definitely buy it again.
