"Pet carpet remover effortlessly removes carpets professionally" is a bit of a stretch, depending on the definition of "easy" and how permissive the way professionals are pull the cat's hair. I have a long haired, neutered, older male dog who is prone to tangles. He's a gentle creature but very shy around everyone but me, and he'd go mad with an electric razor at a pet shop. Also, he won't let me fiddle with anything behind his back—wire cutters, scissors, razor—everything triggers a bloody reaction. I've tried everything. With some trepidation I bought this remover and got to work enthusiastically. It did a good job removing hair where it had little or no tangles, but the large tangles just hung around and the tool pulled on that skin so hard I had to back off. I suspect that eventually I can make progress by picking mat at a time, grabbing the mat with one hand and trying to cut through it with the other. I hope this remover proves a little more helpful than a pair of small scissors or a razor, but the glowing product description seems disingenuous. In general, this remedy is not a miracle cure for matting.
