We try to reduce, reuse, and recycle as much as we can. Over the years we've damaged the plates -- dinner and dessert -- that we use for big gatherings so we try to replace them. We gave up finding matching sets a long time ago. But with this 40 piece set, we could cover the majority of the parties we thrown with one design that looks more elegant than our "stoneware" we normally use. The edge pattern is more flowing and seems to hope stains and crumbs less so that's a cleaning bonus, too. We tried these out and they can be washed and reused so until they break, we'll keep using them.
