Used these sturdy baskets to fill with persimmons and clementines, whole nuts, nutcrackers and hazelnut pralines and left them anonymously on the neighbor's doorstep as a surprise early on Christmas morning. They looked festive, complete with green tissue paper and ribbons, and were warmly received. Well-made, affordable gift baskets are hard to come by and they were perfect.
