This was my first wooden neck since the plastic tech deck and I was initially impressed. I enjoyed assembling it, which wasn't as difficult as some reviewers have described, but after assembling it I noticed a few things: - The screws are sticking out too far on the wheels - I have a pretty deep scratch on them leave the wheels. Our kitchen table was primo on landing (wife doesn't know it was me) - Bushings were hard, that's ok, I just prefer soft bushings because they're more realistic - I swapped out the bushings for softer ones, then was the kingpin too long will also scratch the surfaces. About a month later I received the Tech Deck Performance Series and it is AMAZING. All the bolts are flush, there are rubber bushings, a foam grip and softer wheels (which is AWESOME), the best thing about the P-Rep is the "bearing" inside the wheel. It's actually a bit like spinning the wheels on a real skateboard. If Tech Deck added a bearing to their wooden boards, they would be superior to this board in every way.
