I needed an external monitor for my M1 MacBook Air and realized (too late) that certain manufacturers' monitors are not compatible with it. So I turned to a more trusted brand, HP, and this monitor hooked up and worked great. It worked so well I bought another one for my office. Cheap USB-C port adapters have voltage issues that cause instability in external monitors and peripherals. I had a bad one that I bought here and nothing worked until I replaced it with an anchor. When I checked this poorly, the monitor went to a black screen "no HDMI signal" several times an hour. Works well with better port adapters.) 100% satisfied.
