Appears like a good quality scratch block. After being unrolled and left on the ground with weights at both ends after being transported, it quickly straightened up again after a few days. The edges of the rug are beautifully woven and the backing has a thick backing so the rug will stay in place even on hard floor surfaces. The rug comes with some odd screw hooks that presumably can be used to attach the rug vertically to fabric furniture, but I haven't tried them and don't intend to; I want to poke as few holes in the sofa fabric as possible and have found that double sided training tape is perfect for preventing my cats from scratching the sofa. Unfortunately none of my cats liked this blanket. They are both older, 13 and 9 years old and at the moment they are creatures of habit and now only seem to like cheap flat cardboard rectangular scratching posts. I was hoping to buy them a scraper that would leave less cardboard clutter around the house, but these days they don't want anything to do with a cord scraper. However, this is not the fault of the scraper.
