I love these lightbulbs! They are beautifully shaped and emit a warm, amber glow. I was specifically looking for a 40 watt bulb to use with clear bubble glass bulbs and they fit perfectly. They give off plenty of light to see without being bright and glaring. This gives the room a feeling of warmth and comfort. If you have vision problems or dark lampshades, you may need 60W light bulbs. (I've noticed a lot of older folks saying the light is too dim for them.) My husband loves them too, and they do a great job of lighting our kids (who seem to hate very bright lights).
