If you're looking for a durable and beautiful set of classic whiskey glasses look no further. The gift box that this set comes in makes it the perfect gift for a friend or family member who loves whiskey. . It really looks like a high-end product. And the glasses live up to the expectations aroused by the presentation. The decanter, on the other hand, leaves a lot to be desired. Especially for the topper. Out of the box it looked like there was already a rough edge on the part of the cork that goes into the carafe. This worries me because it could mean that a shard of glass or even a coarse shaving could get into the carafe itself. So I watched it closely. I assume it's the nature of glass on glass with a thin edge. But I also think it's a sign of inferior glass. I believe the Waterford decanter does not have this problem. But that's what you get when you spend 4x more (if not more). The gift set also includes two sets of metal whiskey stones which I found unnecessary. Any true whiskey drinker either uses real ice or drinks straight whiskey. Those useless whiskey stones make the whole package cheaper. I'm not exactly sure what I'm going to do with mine, but I suspect they'll be sitting in a drawer until spring cleaning. In short, this is a great and affordable set of 4 whiskey glasses that come with a solid carafe. and so-so stoppers decanters. Not too shabby for the price. Just watch out for the sharp edges of the carafe cork.
