Just received and tried this on. It offers more cleavage coverage than I expected, but I'm happy with it. I'm going on vacation with my family so extra coverage is perfect. I bought it because I wanted it to be thin and light, so I figured it would fit in my suitcase better than the thick terry cloth robe I've had for years. It definitely is! Another reviewer said the material was kind of transparent. I can't tell based on the lighting in my room, but it looks like it might be the case to a degree. I think you can see the faint outline of my body shadow when I'm wearing this, but I couldn't really see through the material. I have light skin and I chose the color ecru. I could definitely see some dents and dents under the robe, but it's a thin material so that's to be expected. It's not very transparent to me. It was a little scratchy out of the box but I washed it and it went away. I don't expect to play around with it. I just need to be covered when going from the bathroom to the bedroom and not take up too much space in my suitcase. For that purpose I think it's fantastic. I will update my softness and absorbency rating after using it more. Just got out of the shower, dried off with a towel as usual and put on that robe. It's good. It feels absorbent enough to keep me happy. One thing I can't stand is wearing a robe that doesn't absorb moisture because I hate the feeling of water sticking to my skin/clothes. In that respect, this robe suits me. It's summer and you can walk around the house and get ready in this lightweight bathrobe without feeling like you have to turn on the air conditioning. I washed and dried it. I have to say that after washing I saw some pills on it. It's not good, but while it wasn't very noticeable, I think it might bother some people. I would not give this robe unless the person specifically requests a light robe. I wouldn't call it a terrycloth coat. This is a waffle tie.
