Nice set. First, I love hair ties with little scarves. They look so good in fall when the hair is down and then fluttering lightly and flirtatious in the wind. Although I saw the glowing one for the first time. It's pretty cool. Scarves and hair ties themselves are fairly standard—nothing special about the design—but still look cute. BTW, the scarf can be detached from the elastic - so you can do that if you want and use the tie on your bag, shoes or whatever and the elastic on your hair. Each part has a light set that works separately. So you can definitely separate them. But with two sets of lights, that means you have to put on and take off two sets of lights for a hair tie. No big deal - just be aware. PLUS, there are little striped pieces of plastic that separate the battery when you get it. You must pull out the tab to use it. The fact is that the batteries are completely sewn into the hairband. You have to pull the tab "to the touch" and then let it float in the material as there is no way out. That's another matter. You can't change the batteries or even reinsert the tab to save battery power for another activity without fully opening the elastic with scissors or a seam ripper. So, once again, be aware of all of this. Otherwise they are definitely good for an evening event or dance floor. If you're using them at a concert or elsewhere I wouldn't use the blink feature as it will disturb other attendees if you're in their line of sight. Super cute for July 4th night.
