Review on Casio Women's LRW200H-7E1VCF Dive Series Diver Look Analog Watch: Stylish and Practical Timepiece for Women by Maria Aguillon

Perfect watch for children but not for a grown woman

When I first saw this watch I didn't like it at all. The bezel and band are made of glossy plastic. Watches tend to be children's watches rather than women's watches. I decided to give it a week to decide if I want to return it. After wearing it almost all the time for a week and even sleeping with it on, I changed my mind. There are more things to like than not. What I like: - Very light weight, hardly noticeable on the wrist. - Very soft plastic, don't worry that the watch or bracelet will scratch children. - Analog only, don't worry, kids want to play with it. Inexpensive, no fear of damage or theft. Waterproof, I don't have to take it off all day and night. What I don't like: The hands only last a maximum of 2 hours. If you shine a MagLite flashlight in your face before bed, it will glow very brightly for a while. At midnight, the glow will disappear completely. I realize it's not tritium (and doesn't cost that much) but it's pointless if the glow only lasts 2 hours. - Shiny plastic. The picture on Revain is deceptive. The original is very shiny, like a girl's shoes. It makes me look like I'm wearing a child's watch. The bezel is slightly lower than the plastic dial, making it easy to scratch the dial. Conclusion: Like many people, I haven't worn a watch for many years. But after wearing watches 24/7 again, I see that watches haven't been fully replaced by cell phones yet. I can look at the clock while holding one child by the hand and the other by my waist. This is not possible with a mobile phone. I'm hoping to even pawn this to one of the guys in a few years when they're old enough to appreciate analogue gear.

Pros
  • Very impressive
Cons
  • boring packaging
