Years ago I had a convertible backpack very similar to this one and fell in love with it. I've been looking everywhere for something similar - and here it is! I've bought many other convertible bags over the years but all of them require you to undo and reattach the straps. With this bag, all you have to do is grab the straps to change the bag type. They slide on quickly and easily and make my life so much easier. I recently went to a museum where backpacks had to be carried in the front or in the hand, but all I had to do was grab my bag from the top to turn it into a shoulder bag. I don't have to stand on the sidelines and get upset while my group leaves. I've been known to repack wallets, luggage, bags of candy, etc, and this bag was able to handle it all. I'm very satisfied. The only reason I considered buying this bag was because I wanted something more dramatic, but that didn't stop me from buying it. I added a little scarf on the side to add some flair and now I'm even happier.
