My 9.5 month old son is 21 pounds and 27.5 inches tall (chunky, long torso, short legs). I ordered 12 months, but the shirts are already too short. We live in Houston so the extreme heat doesn't bother me too much at the moment but be aware if you are in a cooler climate. The shirt is very easy to put on and take off, which is ideal for older, active people. Child. I will soon be ordering several colors in size 18 months.
