Review on 🍊 CLARK'S Cutting Board Oil (12oz) - Enriched with Lemon & Orange Oils, Food Grade Mineral Oil - Butcher Block Oil & Conditioner by Paul Barnes

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Good durable oil, questionable consistency

Oil is ok, pretty much what I expected, I think it's oil. I chose mineral oil as it doesn't go rancid, I made 5 cutting boards as a gift and I don't know how often they are used so long life oil is a good choice. The boards came out fine, the bottle held 5 boards with fresh coats (I put about 4 coats on all sides) so I'm guessing you can give or take 20 full coats per bottle. My only complaint is that after using the first bottle I ordered a second one and after comparing the first bottle I received is clear the second very yellow. Now I'm wondering what's wrong, there wasn't much citrus in the first bottle, or is there something wrong in the second bottle? Why the discrepancy? I bought the bottles about a week apart so it seems odd that they are so different. After all, oil is oil, so as long as it doesn't go rancid, I'm fine. I'd rather try lavender and rosemary, but for some reason they're $4 more expensive now (price history shows they cost the same as citrus a month ago).

Pros
  • Wood conditioners, waxes and oils
Cons
  • Working speed
