You get what you pay for

A simple, no-frills scanner. You have to manually load slides or negs into a fragile plastic holder, scan them, and feed them one at a time. The low resolution (around 2 megapixels) makes this device suitable for scanning old slides if you don't plan on enlarging them into photos. It's good for slideshows. The RGB color correction revealed nothing special; Instead I used Photoshop to correct the color and lighting. It is not a separate entity; You need to connect the device to the PC. I've also found that sometimes I need to restart the Digitnow software. If you only want PC-based slideshows and are patient with all the manual intervention, that's fine. If you want smoother, faster scanning and higher resolution, you'll have to shell out more money.
