Ideal for regular washing; but does not work well on stubborn stains, odors and odors

I have mixed feelings about this cleaning product. It is safe for skin and the environment, has a mild, pleasant odor, is economical and commercially available in a pinch. However, in terms of actual cleanability, which is perhaps one if not the most important consideration, it's a matter of chance. It serves its purpose with your daily dirty laundry (also known as casual clothes, shower and hand towels, bed linen). Everything comes out clean, smells fresh, and doesn't have that white film that sometimes occurs with "green" detergents. Now on your particularly dirty, unsightly or stained underwear (e.g. gym clothes, food/blood/grease/oil stains, "my baby loves to swim in the mud" clothes, dye stains on fabric and anything which has to do with mold) it fails miserably. Despite trying different methods and settings with this cleaner, the stains and odors remain! I try to pre-treat stains as much as possible, but that's difficult in our busy home with a toddler. I ended up having to use a different, more expensive product to do this part of the laundry, which as you can imagine is both tiring and time consuming. At the end of the day I'm torn. On the one hand, it meets all my laundry detergent needs; On the other hand, it only fulfills 2/3 of my "cleaning" needs. Before I say goodbye to this brand I decided to try the sporty version as I hope it adds that extra punch and all my underwear smells and looks good.
