Review on Xprite Dash Deck Strobe Flashing Light for Emergency Vehicles Trucks - Interior Windshield with Suction Cups, Hazard Warning Lights for Law Enforcement by Jacob Kuntz

Light, but very poor fastness

Firstly, good. This light is very bright. Traffic flows smoothly even in daylight. It contained the sample I chose for the week I had it, so I can't comment on the long term development on that. Unfortunately, that's where the good ends. This light just doesn't last. As mentioned in another review, it melted and deformed after just a few hours in a hot car at an ambient temperature of around 95 degrees. On the second day, at 90, it deformed even more, causing the clips holding the light in the "hood/light housing" to fail, causing it to lean back from the housing and tilt up slightly. Day 3, temp 85, he was ONLY more warped and I decided to return him then. The polymer used is very thin, which leads to deformation. Other comments on this. The plug never overheated on me like someone pointed out. I wore it all the time so it's not a problem for me. The cable is long, I didn't measure it, I think it's probably 7-8 meters. I can't say much about the mount as it isn't adjustable enough to use in my car (Honda CR-V 2015) but I used industrial grade velcro to attach it to the dashboard and it fit fine so far , until everything started to deform. I still gave it 2 stars because of the cost, the fact that it worked well electronically and it was bright. I think if you live in a cold climate year round this would be fine. I live in New York and it's summer and that didn't help, so any southern climate isn't good unless you always park in the shade. As I said I returned it and ordered a smaller $50 flashlight here which is much more durable and just as bright even though it only has 4 large LEDs. It only had 5 reviews, I took a chance and loved it. I don't think I'm allowed to post a brand in another product review, but I've provided enough information to find out.
