Our 11 year old has big feet! LAUGH OUT LOUD! There was trouble finding shoes that were wide enough. I know New Balance is a good brand and have worn them before myself. They are not expensive adidas and nike - who seem to want to take all our shoe stores - both adidas and nike weren't far enough - he was wearing a pair of nikes and he was having a lot of foot pain issues when we went there on our morning walk. It doesn't hurt his feet and it's a good, solid and comfortable shoe. It is very important to have good shoes that are suitable for your child. And it should be as economical as possible because a new pair is required every 6 months. You don't want to buy a brand that's about to fall apart or have no support in a cheap big box store. Try it! Especially if your child has wide feet. I don't care about red, but he loves red.
