I know it's a belt. Easy enough. Almost everyone uses a belt at some point, but this belt impressed me. The buckle of the belt buckle is not metal. I bought it for a trip through TSA so I don't have to remove another piece of clothing. The material of the webbing is very strong, smooth and shiny, easily threads through the belt loops and shows absolutely no signs of wear even after several months of daily use. The belt buckle is made of durable hard plastic. I assumed that the plastic buckle would be temporary, and most likely I would not like it, but everything is just the opposite. Most straps of this type, which are infinitely adjustable, require the user to pull on them to release the tension, some sort of slack slips through, and only then can it be loosened and removed. This buckle does not require this process. The user threads it through and then the buckle snaps into place to lock the adjustment and flips over so it can be loosened. I think it's pretty slick and neat and I really like how easy it is to use. I know it's just a belt, but if it ever really wears out in the far future I hope this type is still available.
