Durable and Affordable

later I'll start by saying I bought this backpack myself for work and didn't take advantage of this review. Just trying to help others who have questions about this product. Size: This backpack is perfect for a 48-72 hour backpack. I'm a paramedic working 24 hours a day and I can pack workout clothes (basketball shorts and t-shirt), spare uniform (polo, ambulance pants, t-shirt, extra socks and boxer shorts), my goggle case, hat, winter hood and winter gloves in the main compartment (closest to the back). In the large center compartment I carry magazines and a 24 ounce coffee mug. In the front compartments I carry an extra pair of sunglasses, toiletries and other miscellaneous items. In all of this there is room for another piece of clothing. Quality: Although I've only had this backpack for a month, the stitching seems very strong. The straps are thick and most of them, except for the top of the shoulder strap, are folded in half and sewn at the ends to keep them from going through the tensioner. Shoulder straps that are not folded in half are tight enough in the tensioner that they have not loosened in the slightest. The shoulder straps are padded and the padding was stiff for the first few weeks so looks like it will be fine for longer use. They have black D-rings on the straps that are pretty thin but perfect for hanging glasses cases, flashlights, keys or other items. The zippers are also made of durable metal and the zippers themselves open smoothly. As others have mentioned, the paracord around the zip ties needs to be re-tied into a better knot, but other than that it can be easily found from the box. The only major downside is that the inner lining feels a little loose and feels like it could tear or rip more easily than the rest of the pack, but it appears to be sewn separately so it doesn't compromise integrity if it does is. the bag itself. Overall, I would recommend this backpack to anyone looking for an inexpensive backpack for hiking, camping, work, or 48-72 hour use. It's worth a few bucks more than paying for a cheaper, less durable backpack, and more economical than the 5.11 backpack or any other branded backpack or duty pack.
