Review on Libratone Zipp Wifi Bluetooth Smart Speaker Home Audio by Dre Bhatt

Got a Zipp for Christmas and we love it so far. A typical application for us is the bathroom. I was concerned about the inevitable moisture, but I found out on the Libratone website that the Zipp is moisture resistant and specifically approved for use in a wet bathroom. You should include this information in the product description here. However, I would like to warn you that you should never press the speaker control buttons with wet hands. Water on top switch/panel would be very unwise. We don't use the top panel controls often, but they work well. One review I saw criticized the volume control, which is a circular motion on the pad to increase and decrease the volume. It works great for me, I would also say I don't think it's splash proof. Some mention in reviews that the speaker is surprisingly large. I agree that it's a bit bigger than expected, but it's the size that makes it sound so good in my opinion. Engineers and designers can achieve a lot more acoustically, so to speak, with a larger box. The Zipp is about the size of a two-liter soda bottle, but not as tall. The speaker sounds great. Very balanced and open sound. It doesn't have much power in the high frequencies, so when showering, white noise tends to muffle the speaker's output in that range. That's not to say the Zipp lacks highs, they sound very smooth, and the omnidirectional design works, it's just that they're not artificially boosted to sound too bright. Midrange and bass response is also great - the sound is more linear than the pumped sound of some speakers. The overall sound seems to expand in space and surround you. For us, the battery life is amazing, probably because we only use it for about 20 minutes at a time. It's been about three weeks since it was fully charged. I only charged it last night (January 13, 2018) after fully charging it on Christmas Eve. This is a really good speaker with great full sound. It's not super bright or too bass-heavy, but smooth 360-degree sound. If you can handle its somewhat bulky size, you'll love it.
