Great quality, one problem

I wish it had manual controls with motor buttons because I'm afraid of losing the remote but it works great. One problem I have is that you have to remove the motor to fit in the case. I cut out some foam and made some adjustments so I can still run the engine, but it's still not the best solution. However, this works great. It slows down toward the end of its cycle before returning and is generally pretty smooth. He's also very quiet. I've heard some people say it's jittery, that's not true, but I'd say if you didn't have stabilization in your camera or lens and you were using an 85mm or larger lens, you would certainly have some minor imperfections notice . I recorded a 50 minute sermon with the battery that came with it and it worked the whole time with no issues. So this battery lasts at least 50 minutes of constant use at a moderate speed. A major issue I had was that the 1/4 20 screw mount for the camera mount doesn't rotate so you have to screw the camera in and it can get stuck if you're a quarter turn from where you are. want to be, so you need to rotate it back into place and leave room to wiggle. I got this working, but it's a glaring mistake that would be so easy and cheap to get right. I could put a quick release plate on it to fix this problem but I don't need the extra height which can wobble a bit due to the height.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not all fit
