Have been using the Braun Professional Care Oral-B rechargeable electric toothbrush for many years, never had a problem. Now that I've obviously had experience with both, I thought it best to approach this review comparatively. Both toothbrushes run in four 30-second cycles that indicate when you should switch the "quads" in your mouth so you get the same number of brushes. Cleaning time in each area. After those two minutes, this toothbrush stops and needs to be restarted if you need extra time while Oral-B keeps going with four new cycles until you actually turn it off with a single press of the power button. While it's nice that it has 5 different settings, it's a huge hassle when you have to toggle between them by repeatedly pressing the power button to get to the one you actually want to use, or to the off position. Since most people put toothpaste on their toothbrush before turning it on, the first thing you have to do is put your head in your mouth and either count or hope you get to the setting you want. Either that, or get ready to take a bath with toothpaste. Another problem this causes is the pause in the middle of brushing. When the second cycle is done on these types of toothbrushes, you usually need to pause to rinse the toothpaste off the handle to keep it from slipping out of your hand. This problem is exacerbated by the extremely minimal gripping surface, consisting of just two 1" rubber circles at the top of the grip. Again, the back of the Oral-B handle is completely covered from head to toe with a textured rubber gripping surface. All of this could have been avoided if it had a separate settings control and wasn't tied to it by repeatedly pressing the power button. As for the brush heads, this product page says "UNIVERSAL BRUSH HEAD - Compatible with most brush heads". It is definitely not compatible with those used in Oral-B, one of the most popular electric toothbrushes on the market. There is also no information anywhere as to what these "compatible" heads might be. I've been looking for Revain and even the OOAK company that makes this product doesn't sell them here. So which heads are really compatible? Your guess is as good as mine, but I certainly don't spend more money experimenting with different ones to find out. Speaking of heads, if you have sensitive teeth you'll probably like that the bristles that come with them are very soft. I personally find it too soft and as a result my teeth and gums weren't as clean as they were with Oral-B when I finished. want the electric toothbrush in your carry-on to accidentally turn on and vibrate. I've had this with another brand and believe me you're going to get a few suspicious looks from airport security. Apologies for the long review, but I felt that all of these shortcomings needed to be pointed out. After all, the collapse of this product is just a terrible design. From what I've written, there's no way it's even remotely worth the asking price.
