Review on EXPAWLORER Plaid Dog Hoodie Cat Sweatshirt Warm Fleece Soft Vest for Cats, Puppies, and Small Animals by Sally Reynolds

I was dying for this to come out because I was hoping it would be an alternative to my cat's pubic cone. He has sensitive skin and allergies and I thought this would help prevent his over grooming which causes bald spots and scabs. I opened the package and BOOM! I was greeted by the strongest scent of perfume/air freshener. I've tried airing it out and it's still so strong. I washed my hands and the smell won't leave my hands! It seriously smells like it's been splattered with a whole can of Glade. I can't use it. I think even if I just bought it as a 'cute outfit' for a non allergic pet the smell would still be an issue as most pets can be very sensitive to smell. I'm not sure why a company would add such a strong scent or what it's hiding. So disappointed I ran out of money and still no solution for my cat. EDIT/UPDATE: After letting this air out for a few days, the air freshener scent is still there, but a little less strong. I decided to see how this might or might not affect my cat. He seems fine now, the smell has faded a bit and it suits him perfectly. (I ordered a large one and it weighs between 12 and 12.5 pounds.) It's a very thin material that's perfect for summer and keeps it from over-maintenance like I was hoping for. I upgraded to 4 stars, if it wasn't for that weird smell I would have given it 5.
