This is an absolutely amazing product that is so easy to use. I didn't even need an app and was able to scan almost 600 slides from the 1950s in about 90 minutes. I thought it was going to take forever, but once I got my camera set up, all I had to do was pop in the slide, take a picture, and move on. Just as a note, I used a 3.3x magnification with a 4 by 3 aspect ratio. This seemed to work with almost all of the slides. I tried the included app for a short time, but found it rather useless and unnecessary. It was a great Mother's Day gift for my mom because I was able to send her a whole bunch of photos after I scanned them. The pictures I've posted in this review are slides from the late 1950's so around 70 years old. You can judge the quality of the captured image yourself. Highly recommended.
