I am 5'5", 15", 27" waist, full hips and active 72 year old male. I was arguing between small and medium and got small and I'm glad I did as it's actually a bit big, especially around the waist. I made a crease at the waist - at least 1.5". It also lands below my knees. It's like a stretch t-shirt material, 90% cotton, lightweight, wrinkle-resistant and will be great in hot weather. I ordered a beige skirt / khaki, easy to get dirty but washes well
