I had my last medium Pyrex bowl when I decided to buy 3 of these 2.5 liter lidded bowls. I love cereal and eggs for breakfast and almost every day mix up two packs with a cup of water and a microwave while I fry up some eggs and mix them in a bowl of cereal with oil and pepper. I eat them right out of the bowl, then wash the bowl in the dishwasher and put a plastic lid on the top shelf of the same. These shells get hot and have been known to break if you use them incorrectly. Never place a hot Pyrex bowl on a cold countertop or metal oven rack. A sudden and sharp change in temperature will most likely cause them to break, and if you wash the lids on the bottom of the dishwasher, they can melt. , pots and bowls from damage to the countertop, these practical bowls will give you years of pleasure. I recommend these microwavable bowls and lids to family, friends and others whether they like cereal or not. Enjoy!
