We bought our daughter a blanket for Christmas. She suffers from anxiety and sometimes does not sleep well because of it. So far she likes it very much. He fell on her bed right after she opened it. I'm thinking about getting one myself, but I'm worried about getting too hot. That wasn't a problem for our daughter; She's always cold and says the blanket helps keep her body warm. The material is very soft. It's 15 pounds so it's really not light, but it's a weighted blanket so I expect it to be heavy. I'm glad we have a blanket for it (also soft) because of our cats; they like it a lot too, as evidenced by the amount of cat hair they leave behind. One of the advantages of the sale was the possibility of washing. Hope we don't have to wash it. I'm not sure how my washing machine will handle this weight. The only downside is that the bags settle and we have to shake them every now and then to redistribute them. I would suggest that this is a downside of any weighted blanket. I really like small bags.
