Don't bother with the cheaper option

I can't attest to the more expensive microfiber product offered but the cheaper option was not worth my time or money. Initial impressions, it felt very chintzy for $20. The pillow case is a design failure since it faces inwards, having the opening face your body defeats the purpose of the pillow case, certainly not a convincing barrier to germs, bed bugs etc. In addition, the two large threads which hold the corners of the pillow case had torn small holes in the fabric large enough for bed bugs to crawl right onto my neck, hurray. Finally, the case is very cheap and inefficient, a stuff sack would be much better, I had a lot of difficulty fitting the liner back in its little sandwich-bag case. I simply don't think this product is worth the money given its flaws, and will be returning it and trying different liners. The one bonus is it is relatively lightweight, I measured the zippered model at 8.35 oz or 236 grams, and most other liners seem to be slightly heavier.

Pros
  • Breathable fabric keeps you cool in warm weather
Cons
  • The liner may irritate users with sensitive skin
