Review on Mehron Makeup Special Effects Halloween by Courtney Rogers

I LOVE IT. Love it. As far as Makeup FX goes, this was the best of anything I've tried. Shipping was fast, it arrived a day earlier than expected which was great as it gave me more time to practice with it before Halloween. beautifully packaged, safe and fully intact. This year I made a liquid latex zombie mouth prosthesis for Halloween. The wheel is a decent size, slightly larger than the palm of my hand. It had enough of each color so not only could I paint my prosthetics, but there was more than enough left over to do some stuff on my face and such. Green and yellow are quite bright, but they can be easily toned down by shading or adding a bit of black. The makeup is easy to apply, dries on the latex and won't come off the latex without soap and water (which is great), but it can be removed from the skin with a makeup remover pad. The only downsides to this product: if you sweat *a lot* it will come off. I put it on my nose and after about twenty minutes it started to come off. I fixed this by putting some antiperspirant (nasty, I know, but it worked) on my nose before putting on makeup. It worked better. Obviously, any makeup does this. Just a warning and what worked for me. Be ready. Second, I would not recommend using everyday makeup brushes with this product. After applying makeup yesterday, I found I was still turning green from the wheel on my face, along with the eyeliner. So either be prepared to brush really well or use brushes you don't really like (or FX brushes). All in all a great product. Would definitely buy this again. (And hey, I could next Halloween.)
