The ability to create a model that can then be used in many different ways, including for forecasting models, is one thing I like best about this product. It's not intuitive at first, but once you get it down it gets easier. Also, there isn't much out-of-the box functionality available - you have to build your own if you want something special. But as long as you know what you need, building customizations should work well! We use Sobol primarily to do our annual forecast planning using Monte Carlo simulation. This allows us to test various scenarios and see how they perform compared to each other. In addition we also run Sobol regression models, which help predict future values given certain inputs (e.g., price or sales).
