The extension for my Honda Pilot looks like a shower rod. The difficulty is that it doesn't stay in place. The plastic hook for the handrail isn't long enough and the first bump I rode the bar slipped off on both ends, my clothes falling on the floor and bending the plastic tip. Using a metal hook on the coat hook seemed a little more durable, but the constant banging against the pilot's side was so annoying that I took it off. Another donation to the thrift store.
