I bought this unit after getting good results with the EndRot kit. I am very pleased with the results on the windowsill and termite damaged frame. Here are two tips to help you: 1. One of the videos mentions that you can apply SculpWood while RotFix is still tacky. Take advantage of this: it speeds up your work considerably and helps you to insert SculpWood deep into the wood in all the cracks and crevices. 2. Apply SculpWood Filler to the surface of your repair as directed in the instructions. Then wait 12-24 hours and trim off the excess with a sharp chisel. It's MUCH faster and easier than sanding after it dries. At this point, the consistency is similar to a raw potato: easy to cut with a chisel, simply pushing it through the excess material into the desired shape. I have not tried the thinner version of this SculpWood Paste product as my projects involved a lot of vertical surfaces and some places where the putty had to be blasted into holes. My next project involves renovating an outdoor structure where paste may be the best solution.
