I'm an Emmy-winning video producer and used to expensive professional equipment. Like the rest of us, I was faced with the need to replace all of my wireless gear as the US government sold the 698-898MHz band to cellphone companies. These were the frequencies that all of our professional wireless devices used, and now even their USE is illegal! UGG! Hundreds of millions of dollars worth of professional wireless equipment have been classified as junk by our government. So this time I'm buying cheap hardware that I HOPE will work. I will never spend big money on wireless devices ever again! Anyway, let's get to the review: This system broadcasts on the 900MHz band, which is completely legal in the US! The system is quite dynamic in frequency, so it can be used without interference. It comes with both headset mics and lavalier mics, which is a big plus. I'm very impressed with the sound quality as well as the looks of the devices; My clients will never know how little I've spent on a wireless system that I use on my professional shoots :-) The system has a 1/4" output for direct connection to a PA or amplifier and comes with Supplied with adapters for DSLR, HD camcorders, and the phone and phone adapter include a Y-cable so you can leave your headphones plugged in while using the wireless system, a very important and useful professional feature! The system can be fitted with a transmitter /mic or two are used but both output mics is sent to one output of the receiver That's the ONE thing I want in this system, a mono/stereo switch that allows both mics to have separate outputs but when I'm recording interviews I always record both mics in mono, center panning anyway so this isn't a big deal Receiver comes with adapters t to attach to the shoe of your DSLR or HD camcorder. and excited to get out and use this system. I made two videos, a long video unpacking all the parts and a quick comparison of the wireless connection to my LG G7 ThinQ phone's internal microphones. However, Revain only allows me to upload ONE video. So I will post an unboxing video. As for the sound, trust me, it's MUCH better than phones' built-in mics, especially since it can be shoved right in the face of talent!
