Having had very good (expensive) Hasting triplets in the past I was very hesitant to buy this for my very picky son who needs a good enlargement wanted glass for his numismatic hobby. He tried several other loops and gave them up. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on something he wouldn't like, so we tried this loupe, the 10x21 Hasting Triplet. The optical quality is actually pretty good and the frame feels solid. I didn't notice any chromatic aberrations and the glass was very clear. We'll see how it performs in day-to-day use, but overall it's a great magnifier.
