I was disappointed to see that they were no longer available when I visited the purchased items page to purchase others. Of course, nowadays we all have to think carefully before buying something made of plastic, and we do. However, their transparency makes them an incredibly efficient shoe storage solution – and perhaps a morally justifiable solution for those who feel they are doing enough other things to minimize their carbon footprint and plastic use. The decals that other reviewers have complained about are relatively easy to remove by holding the decal area in a steam jet from a humidifier. The heat of the steam allowed me to cleanse them completely. Goo-Gone is also an effective glue remover. The lids are in an open position that seems unreliable and does not inspire confidence in their ability to withstand repeated opening and closing. I felt that the design could have benefited from the hinges being further apart or an additional third hinge placed between the other two for added stability. However, as someone who rarely opens containers after putting on off-season shoes, this hasn't proven to be a problem. I'd love to see them back in stock, although I agree with other reviewers that the manufacturer should replace the stickers used on them with a differently applied label or just leave enough outer packaging. And finally, I'm not sure what the "sticky" category listed as the one I should be giving this item a star rating for is.
