Stop your research. Just buy this one.

I can't believe how badly I've been scammed. I bought one of those $30 lockable canisters with useless CO2 valves. Look closely at the different brands and you'll notice a trend: they're almost all the same product, cut from the same fabric. They buy products from the same overseas product catalogue, record their logo, add a few stock images to the product page and at that point have a "unique" version of a standard product that several other brands are selling. They all have thousands and thousands of poor quality five star reviews that seriously can't be real. Brands like Coffee Gator, who seem to put a little more effort into making their product more unique (still the same no matter what), charge a hefty premium for what is essentially a hardware store item at a discount of 10 U.S. dollar. Unlike the above products which cost the same price. , this canister appears to be made of thicker stainless steel, has a much better build quality in the lid design, and also has the benefit of an air-intake piston that essentially adjusts the canister to perfectly match its rest of the contents. Other things I like: - Made in the USA (I was literally shocked given the price) - Reviews of this product are more reliable than imported canisters sold by domestic brands - The plastic on the cap and plunger is very thick and durable, and the seals feel just about the same - No consumables (like those stupid CO2 valves that probably only work at their best when the coffee is freshly roasted). - A durable piece of rubber on the bottom is a nice finishing touch to make the bin non-slip and quiet when lowered.

Pros
  • Regular price
Cons
  • Not bad
