Revainrating 3 out of 5

this mostly works indoors

I bought this because we have 2 stray cats in my house that roam in and out of every neighbor's yard. According to the citizens, they can't remove them from the street, I don't know why. If they don't hurt people, they said, just leave them alone. In any case, I have a sports car, my pride and joy. Unfortunately I don't have a garage. I parked the car behind the house with a canopy over it. For the past 12 months, my security camera has captured traffic in my backyard where my car is parked at around 11:00 p.m., 1:00 a.m., and even 4:00 a.m. It's one of those stray cats that crawls from the backyard of the house down the street right into my backyard. The only way for a cat to successfully move from a backyard to mine is by using a gate. Separate 2 backyards and land on my car be it the tailgate or the roof to complete the jump then he can just jump off the car. Judging by the surveillance video, it's a skinny cat. So I would imagine only 10kg. And I know I don't have to worry about scratches, which are dents a cat can leave on my car. Luckily there isn't, I'm grateful for that. I bought this, I had to buy 5 of these in total to create a HUGE blanket that would basically be a cover for my car. I bought it on March 11th. I wanted to clean up my car today as it's only a weekend car and I went to put a frosted blanket on the cover and it got messed up. It broke in my hands while holding it in my hands. Last week we had a fever. Temperatures reach a heat index of 100-105 every day. It was pretty bad. I know this is why this plastic skate mat breaks. The heat probably destroyed this thing and made it brittle. So I can't completely fault the product. My rating is simply based on durability. I wish I was at least a year away from that. Because at that price, buying 5 of them costs $100 for just 4 months? Is it expensive. So I don't know if I should find a longer lasting one for at least 8-12 months or keep buying one and hoping it will last longer when summer comes to an end. Either or this product is more suitable for the room. Mother Nature will destroy this thing in no time.
