I do not recommend Vanicream baby soap for sensitive skin because it causes a bad rash!

When Aveeno and then Alaffia changed their body gel formulations, I began looking for a substitute. Several different people and many online reviews recommended Vanicream Baby Wash so I decided to give it a try. Vanicream's ingredients are pretty simple: purified water; glycerin; coco glucoside; sodium cocoylglycinate; copolymer of acrylates; caprylyl glycol; Mica; sodium chloride; 1,2-hexanediol; titanium dioxide; sodium hydroxide; and disodium EDTA. My first impression of Vanicream Baby Wash was really good. As promised, it was fragrance free, lathered well and left my skin smooth after the first hand wash. However, after using the product for three days, a severe bloody rash started to appear on my arm. After the rash appeared I stopped using Vanicream Baby Wash but the rash didn't go away. I've tried every lotion, itch cream, and rash cream I've ever used in my life and nothing has worked. Hydrocortisone couldn't even get rid of it. Eventually, my doctor prescribed me a prescription steroid cream, which cleared up the rash. I cannot recommend this product for sensitive skin as I have very sensitive skin and have developed severe rashes. I don't know what ingredient caused it, but Vanicream Baby Wash is definitely not for me.
