charges very quickly! My son used AA batteries like they were going out of style. I probably spent about $100 on Xbox only batteries for my son and daughter. I bought two of these and they are AMAZING! They come with rechargeable batteries and a plate for the back of the controller. My son was able to play for 5 hours, plug it in and in about 20 minutes it's charged and ready to play! so great! They also light up red for charging and green for charging (just a light bar below) super cool
