Good at first. For only $25, you get a lot with this sleep machine. You get a loud machine that plays 40 different sleep sounds and after trying them all I can honestly say I'm very impressed. The sounds sound natural to me and the best part is that they are all continuous. I don't hear a repeat loop with sound, and if you don't use any of the three timers (1 hour, 2 hours, and 3 hours), the sound you choose will continue the whole time. There is no annoying fading out after which the sound cycle begins again. I couldn't see the audio loop. The volume is great with this machine, it gets quiet but can also be turned up very loud without any sound distortion. Sound wise there are 40 of them and after listening to them all I can honestly say I'm impressed with the collection of sounds this offers! There is a variety of water sounds, from a dripping faucet to a running shower to ocean waves and waves hitting the beach, streams, rain, thunderstorms etc. There is the sound of a train on the tracks, a chimney and a washing machine , and there's even soothing music. I mean the collection of sounds is absolutely amazing and they sound so real, natural and continuous! As I mentioned this unit has a timer with 1, 2 and 3 hour settings but you can also just play the audio of your choice until you stop it and I didn't find any audio break or audio loop what is absolutely great. I love everything about this sleep machine except for one major design issue. The only way to select a sound is to switch between sounds using the forward and back arrows. It doesn't matter if you like one of the first or last sounds, but if your favorite sound is 24th out of 40, you have to go through 20 weird sounds to make your choice. The good news is that no matter what sound you hear when you turn the device off, when you turn it back on it's still playing the last sound you heard. Overall, I really like this sleep machine! It has all the sounds I've ever wanted and they sound so beautiful and authentic and I don't hear any looping or breaks in the sound. The only issue is having to use the back and forward buttons to navigate through the list of sounds, but for me the sound quality and all the features on this machine make up for it a bit. For $25 this machine really can't be beat.
