It’s not sheer. The fabric isn’t stiff (yay!) but has enough body to fall nicely. There’s a slit in back that I sewed up—my preference with this style of dress. The buttons are on the outside of the dress which means the strap excess (depending on the buttonhole you select for fit) hangs outside of the dress. I carefully cut the buttons off and quickly sewed them on the inside. My vote is straps in on this dress.I ordered a size up because it’s easier to make things smaller than it is to make them bigger. I love it!It styles nicely with flats, wedges, platforms, and eventually boots when fall temps come. I ordered another one. 😊
