They are larger than I expected. I need the height of the counter. I found that I could lower the seats a few inches if I took the adjuster rod off the threaded rod before screwing it to the legs and then put it back between the legs. They make a robust and well-constructed impression. One of them had a manufacturing defect and the other was crooked but the seller sent me replacements which I really appreciated. The seller was quick and clear in his communication with me which made everything go more smoothly. My husband was pleased that they were narrower and less bulky than he expected. They look good and overall we are happy with them.
